Shade-selecting and material matching is a highly critical process when trying to satisfy patient expectations. Shade selection and matching of dental materials is often perceived as secondary to the clinical process and may be subjective, producing unpredictable results. This CE webinar offers participants improved esthetic communication techniques for the dentist and dental office team to develop criteria to select the proper colors for an “Esthetic Blueprint” for composites and porcelain alike.

There is more to tooth appearance than shade, including specialized incisal characteristics and anatomical subtleties that can be confusing. Once the correct shade and characteristics are identified by observing natural tooth structure, your practice can move to the next level of excellence. The knowledge gained in this presentation will be a foundation for future “Master Series” webinars. Upon completion of this CE webinar, the student will be able to: Understand why shade selection is just as important as clinical application; identify and implement criteria for selecting proper shades.   ( disclaimer , AGD PACE Statement )
